December 3 and 4, 2011 - Celebration of Living Gifts
Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Admission: Canned goods which will be donated to a local food bank. Last year we collected over 450 pounds of canned goods!
- Hayride – Enjoy a winter hay ride into our Global Village. Stop at one of our village sites for seasonal craft-making fun.
- Living Gift Market – If you could have any gift you wished, what would it be? Peace on Earth? An end to hunger? Preservation of the environment? Education for a child? Learn about gifts that keep on giving. We have just the place you can "purchase" these items and more at the Living Gift Market complete with Overlook Farm's animals.
- Shop@Heifer – Find unique fair-trade items from around the world along with Heifer books and merchandise. Purchase cuts of beef and lamb raised here at Overlook Farm.
- Refreshments – Enjoy hot cocoa, cider, baked goods or hearty home-made soups. Children are invited to decorate and eat their own animal gingerbread cookies!
- Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire – Come and enjoy an old-fashioned New England treat while warming up after the hayride
March 10 and 11, 2012 - Pancakes at the Farm
Time: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Reservations are required.)
Admission: Adults: $12.00, Children (3-10): $6.00, Children age two and under are free.
During Heifer International's Pancakes at the Farm, enjoy a hearty pancake breakfast with maple syrup and pork sausage and tour the farm to view the sugaring operation.
