February 12, 2010: Motivation for a New Life in Guatemala
Manual Guzman says that growing up, he never had the opportunity to go to school because his family did not have the money. Manual grew up farming and he would also do work for his neighbors. After receiving a goat and training from Heifer, Manual has enough money to take care of his family’s needs.

February 15, 2010: New Roads Bring New Opportunities to Viet Nam
Heifer Viet Nam partners with a Self-Help Group in Viet Nam to pave the narrow, slippery and muddy road the Khmer villages traveled for production and business. In addition to difficulty in travel, the local people had to carry water from river and canals for daily drinking and cooking.

February 21, 2010: Trees to Swing Through
A conservation project in Tanzania preserves chimpanzee habitat and helps coffee farmers earn more. Nassor Siliba, a farmer with five children, said his village now has better access to clean water as a benefit of the water-efficient washing stations that coffee importers, like Heifer International corporate sponsor Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, helped to build.

February 24, 2010: A Drop of Water in a Burning Desert
After Givi Kobiashvil, his wife and nine children were forced to leave their beautiful village of Lars, robbed and taken hostage following the Soviet Union collapse, they were left without cattle and any means of living. Givi Kobiashvili applied for help from a Heifer program in the Kanobi village, and received a pregnant Heifer that brought the gift of self-reliance to his family.
