Founded in 1991 by Heifer International's Board of Directors, Heifer Foundation has developed, and continues to manage, an endowment to support the work of Heifer International.  While Heifer Foundation and Heifer International are separate non-profit charitable organizations with distinct purposes, they work closely together to support a common mission, while meeting the unique individual needs of donors.
